England WAGS refuse to go to World Cup in S. Africa

    (ANI)

London, Feb.8 : The England WAGS are refusing to "here we go" to this summer's World Cup because manager Fabio Capello won't let them spend extra time with their men.

Unimpressed with the "circus" at the last finals in Germany, where the girls shopped and partied while the team flopped - Capello said they could only see the players once a week.

"We're going to South Africa to play, not for a holiday," said Capello.

"If they don't want to come for the day only, they should stay home," The Mirror quoted Capello, as saying further.

Now leading WAGS, including Coleen Rooney and Alex Gerrard, are doing just that...and will -boycott the whole tournament.

Coleen, who gave birth to baby Kai in -November, said: "Kai and me will be -supporting Wayne and the team from home. We wouldn't see much of Wayne while we're there because of the ban. It's what I'd rather do."

Coleen added: "It's such a long way to go for a little baby and you never know how far the team are going to get. South Africa will be too hot for Kai and it will be his first holiday away, so I'd rather have Wayne with me to help out."

Alex - who famously flew two fake tan -specialists to -Germany in 2006 - said: "What's the point in -staying there when we can only spend a little bit of time with the players? We can watch the games on TV."

In 2006 the WAGS stayed at Baden-Baden, a short drive from - England's training camp in the Black Forest, and had "ready access" to the players.

This time round they have been offered rooms at the six-star One and Only Resort and Spa in Cape Town, while their men are staying 80 miles north of -Johannesburg, a two-hour flight away.
